Local press, in Madera, California, U.S.A. welcomes Frimpong at his arrival.
There was a certain misunderstanding, when Frimpong came out from his cardboard box, after a long and tiring trip.
He had felt very dizzy and confused after so many days in that small dark box, since he left from Munich, he had finished all his beer stock and he felt thirsty and hungry.
So when his new host, Jeff Fay, opened the cardboard box and told him “Welcome to Madera, Frimpong!”
Frimpong thought it was Madeira Island, and imagined to be in Portugal.
So he made an effort to remember some basic words in Portuguese and said:
“Bom dia, senhor! Posso eu ter um pouco do vinho de madera, por favor?”

Jeff, his Californian new host and friend didn’t understand a word and looked at Frimpong totally puzzled.
But after a minute Frimpong realized the mistake and was very happy to be in California again, ready to explore an new area.
Jeff will take him to Yosemite Park, which is very close to Madera and Frimpong will have new thrilling experiences.
Then the reporters and the photographers of the local press arrived to interview Frimpong.
