<< The Strange World of Women's Shoes >>
I thought that I would photograph the wide variety of women's shoes that I see in store windows. We will see how well this goes.
Lunch at Chapala Mexican Restaurant
<< Freezing Fog >>
Over the last week we have had freezing fog every morning. These images were shot in Alton Baker Park on a foggy morning.
<< Abstracts in Ice >>
I have always found delight in the abstracts one finds in ice formations. Another of the wonders of creation. I am not the Artist! I merely record what is there!
<< Miscellany - 2012 >>
Here are just some of the images I accumulated during 2012 and never got a chance to post. This is still only part of them.
I enjoyed every one of them and thought I would share them in a gallery on the last day of the year. Hope you browse the gallery.
<< North American Safari.....at Cabela's >>
Paid a visit to Cabela's this morning. It was like going on safari to see North American wildlife.
Snow Scene on a Rainy Day
Saw this on my morning walk, and thought the local Citizens Bank had a nice snow scene on the front doors.
Through the windows you can also see the green lawn behind the building. We have vivid greens right now.
This is all the snow we need this year! :)
A Clown For Breanne
My granddaughter, Breanne, loves clowns. (ha ha, she hates them) I couldn't resist shooting this one for her at Walmart. Am I mean? LOL
A Part of the Whole
This is front fender detail on the 1941 Chevrolet
I got it from a good authority that this is a 1941 Chevrolet (thanks to Dan Greenberg). Great looking car.
This is sort of a mystery image. A lamp shines in darkness, true. But what about the shape it is within? Is it a window, or what else could it be? One of the commenters has itcorrect already.
Yes, it's all done with mirrors!
Baby Tad - The Talking Frog
Another stuffed toy from Carol's collection
<< Some Of Carol's Plates >>
Carol has a nice collection of plates from Germany and elsewhere. It would be nice to include more of them here as we improve our techniques for photographing them.
Early Morning Snowfall
Overnight, we had a snowfall. I went out early this morning to get a picture of it.
A passing vehicle provided the light I needed to show the falling snow.
We ended up with 5-6 inches on the ground.
<< An Edible Arrangement >>
Our middle daughter and her family sent Carol a beautiful gift, like a flower bouquet but an "Edible Arrangement." It's delicious. :)
This is the Edible Arrangement website - http://www.ediblearrangements.com/default.aspx
<< Hummels and Jewelry >>
Test shots made with the Micro Nikkor-P Auto f/3.5, a very nice but inexpensive manual focus lens.

<< Ice Studies >>
We have had below freezing weather for several days. So the ice has played games with designs. Some of them were simply awesome. I enjoyed studying them and getting some photos. I hope you enjoy them too. We ought to recognize and appreciate the design in nature.
The photo was shot through a store window, the type of photo Paul is so good at!

Naughty, naughty! Burned tire.
You will never guess what this is!
Edenvale Grade school, one room for all eight grades
Would you believe that this is an old one-room schoolhouse, one where I spent the 1st and 2nd grades?
It is true, that was back in 1942 and 1943. The school served all eight grades in the same room.
The old building is on private property now and sits behind the owner's home.
I got a lump in my throat, I have fond childhood memories of living nearby on Edenvale Road, near Jasper, Oregon.

Ok, it is called strand board, I believe, a type of particle board.

Into each life some rain must fall
See the splashes? Street light and falling rain created the bright area on the left. Rain splashes in the driveway are seen on the right.
Give up? It is a seat belt securing my wife. :)
