By accident I found the Rahmi M. Koç museum, the Istanbul resting place of stuff collected by what may be a pathological collector or a wise businessman (I think it must be the latter), member of one of the richest families in Turkey. I know a similar museum in Ankara, from the same man. It is stronger on walking sticks than the Istanbul one.
I started out trying to take as many pictures of the great cars they had on display as I could, but then realized after the cars there would be steam engines, general machinery, ships, trains, dolls houses, planes, carts and bicycles, invalid chairs and on and on. So I at some point just took the occasional picture, deciding to return at some other time and take some more.
Most of the museum is at the grounds of the former Hasköy Dockyard, founded in 1861 by the Ottoman Sea Line Company for the maintenance and repairing of their ships.
