Eight "cookie-cutter" days: blue skies, sunshine, temperatures in the low to mid 20s.
Perfect conditions for a somewhat unplanned Autumn road trip! My brain had given up on
the whole trip planning exercise so in the end we just packed the car, and took off!
Our cheapie tent accompanied us and got used a few times. Other times we would pull
into a town and find a motel room. Fortunately this was outside of school or peak holiday
periods, allowing us much flexibility while being kinder on the budget too.
Floods & heavy rainfalls this year meant not only a transformation to areas of the landscape,
but some road closures prevented us visiting certain areas too. Yet all up we did 3300kms,
setting foot in three states - Victoria, NSW and South Australia. Images have been moved to:
