Photos of a visit to Lamphun in November 2012.
Lamphun is only 26km from Chiang Mai and can be visited easily by public transport. The road is lined with trees and is quite a sight, yet difficult to photograph when on the move.
Its main attractions are the National Museum, which houses archaeological exhibits, and two temples, one of which, Wat Phra Tha Thariphunchai, I visited. Its 46-metre golden chedi is the town's main landmark.
