On our way to Volterra and eventually San Gimignano |
We stopped on the road a lot. |
Wandered into small hill village and loved this flower pot holder. |

Arrival at an early church - courtyard on side |
Abbadia Isola |
From approach to the locked church |
A woman came out of her home w/ keys for the church and waited as we explored it. |
This is an annex to the left. I liked the way the sun was hitting this. |
Sun on that interesting wall |
What you see when you enter. |
BLURRED - but this is at the altar area. |
On the dark wall at left, sunlight fell on main figure, |
Full vertical |
Closeup of the scene. Sun still on the woman |
Right wall, and source of sunlight on other wall |
I like these simpler older churches. |
This is at Colle di Val d'Elsa. |

Liked bell and clock. Doors are beautiful in Italy, in all their variety. |
