Photos : Pienza to Siena and Montalcino

Pienza and Montalcino photos.  After Montepulciano, during which we visited Cortona, we then went to Pienza, visited Montalcino and its fortress, and ended the day at Siena.  Will label photos after uploading full 3 weeks.

Mort, that news was sure unexpected, but I guess it makes sense. LOVE the story of the
photograph from the rehearsal. Small world for sure! Thanks for this.

Hi,

Nice pix. The fortress at Montalcino has been turned into a wine showroom and shop. Samples are given freely, and prices are lower than in the USA.
In Utrecht, NL, I met several young men from Siena, and showed them pix of a Palio rehearsal that I'd taken a few years earlier. We were amazed to note that a portrait of a young man in costume that I took, was their best friend who lived next door to them; small world.

Hmmm, since you're at the Pienza-Sienna gallery, maybe you'll be close to this spot?
I'd recommend, in that case, Siena and then Florence! I've pmailed you though with other
thoughts...

Love the photos. Going to Tuscany on Friday - only one week there. Any suggestions to which MUST GO TO places as our time is so limited? Gina
