Cowfold is an attractive village lying between Billingshurst and Haywards Heath on the A272 road.
Henfield is 4 miles south, and Horsham is 6 miles northwest of the village. The thirteenth century St Peter's Church is a special place with a lovely row of little old houses bordering its churchyard path on one side. A handsome village hall, built in 1896, dominates the centre of the village. Nearby is St Hugh's Monastery which was built in 1877 and has a beautiful 203 foot high spire. Its Carthusian order are reclusive and barely interact with the outside world.
