Quite often when I am taking shots in an unfamiliar location, I will take a shot of a street sign or something similar so that I know where I was.
What with the Olympus E-M1 not having proper GPS facilities and all. Yes, okay, I'll stop banging on about it. For now.
The thing is though, in Italy it was quite often the case that the street signs had a certain appeal of their own particularly when they were accompanied by classical Italian architecture as we see in this window and balcony and the leafy frame surrounding them.
You didn't believe me about the name of the street in the previous shot, did you?
