Map of the Layout
We were given the map and story as we paid to go into the garden, a great help!
What originally started off as the vege patch became the butterfly garden
as the patch wasn't big enough to cater for the whole family. A new
vege patch has been started the other side of Dad's Shed and isn't included in this map.

More "Kiss-me-quick" in the garden
An old plant making a come-back in the dry areas of the country.

A seat in the butterfly garden
A section with plants to attract butterflies, bees etc was a novelty - a bee hive and native bee hostel was part of it, but not seen in this photo.

The pathway into the garden.
The garden is 3 acres and was a former cow paddock with a stone cottage. A
big problem is the exposure to the sun in our hot dry summers and another challenge
is the exposure to winds. The watering is by bore water that unfortunately
has a fairly high salt content. This is the first of a handful of photos
taken while we wandered around the large garden.
A very overcast day so quite some licence taken by me and PS.
