Belgrade (Београд)

Busy, happening capital of Serbia, with a history dating back some 7000 years, set at the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers. Battered time and again by wars and invasions, with too much of an architectural hodgepodge to be considered "beautiful", but a fascinating place to explore with a truly fun-loving, youthful population that's ever ready for the next party.
