Novi Sad (Нови Сад)

Historic Danubian town and second-largest city in Serbia, long a cultural center for the Serbs in what was once the southern fringe of the Hungarian Kingdom. Hammered by NATO bombing in 1999, it has since recovered to be a rather hip and trendy metropolis, perhaps best demonstrated by its tremendously popular EXIT Festival every July.
