My first day in NYC started with a ferry ride from NJ's Port Imperial to the Midtown Ferry Terminal at 39th St. & 12th Ave. The NY Waterways bus took me to the Museum of Modern Art where I met my photographer friend Spencer Lloyd. After an hour or two of looking at MoMA's wonderful photography galleries we took the 2nd Ave. bus down to the East Village. While there I took photos of lots of folks I saw and met on the streets and in Tompkins Square Park. Spencer and I had a wonderful time celebrating his birthday At 6:30 p.m. I met my PBase friend Keith Goldstein and his wife Nicole for dinner. After a most enjoyable dinner I caught the 1st. Ave bus uptown to 42nd Street. I then scooted along 42nd St. all the way to the river where I got the ferry back to New Jersey and my motel. CLICK HERE to see "New York City: Day 2."
