After watching the wonderful closing ceremony of 2026 Winter Olympic Games at the Verona Arena, I was inspired to dig out these pictures from our visit to Verona in June, 2022. It was our first trip to Europe since the outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic in 2020.

Verona is a historic city in Northern Italy celebrated for its remarkably preserved Roman architecture and its status as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Recognized as the setting for Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, the city attracts millions of visitors to its ancient Arena, vibrant piazza, and the scenic banks of the Adige River.
