Cambodia's North East

Images from Cambodia's 'Wild East', the upland provinces of Ratanakiri and Mondulkiri where the rice paddies of the lowlands give way to tracts of 'dry tropical' (monsoonal) forest which have long provided a refuge for endangered species. This forest country is now disappearing all too rapidly (read more on my blog). Touring this region usually entails hours spent inhaling red dust aboard a motorcycle, whether as driver or as pillion passenger, particularly on the rough road linking the two provincial capitals, Ban Lung and Sen Monorom.

These images were taken with Nikon D300 using RAW format, and are available for licensing. Please visit my blog.
