On 3-4 September 2005, I joined the YHA bushwalking club for the trip to Mt Bogong in the Alpine National Park. The group of 6 traversed up the steep Staircase Spur and camped near Gorge Gap at over 1800m. Hiked to the summit of Mt Bogong but views were limited by the clouds. Spent a chilling night in the tent with outside tempearture falling below zero.

It was a bright sunny day on Day 2 and we hiked to the summit of Mt Bogong again. This time we were rewarded with fantastic views to Mt Feathertop, Mt Buffalo and other mountains nearby.
