This fire raged, a full 4 alarm fire, for almost 24 hours, in an old multi-story warehouse. The column of smoke from the fire could be seen for miles. Part of the problem is that Detroit was being hit with extremely high winds, often exceeding 40mph, that day. AFAIK, nobody was seriously injured. For me, this is a glimpse into the fireman's world, for which I am grateful.
