Detroit, MI, USA

This fire raged, a full 4 alarm fire, for almost 24 hours, in an old multi-story warehouse. The column of smoke from the fire could be seen for miles. Part of the problem is that Detroit was being hit with extremely high winds, often exceeding 40mph, that day. AFAIK, nobody was seriously injured. For me, this is a glimpse into the fireman's world, for which I am grateful.

Great job Kerry, I am chasing the fires in montreal myself but wasn't lucky enough to be on the right spot to take a picture. Fortunately, at the same time, nobody is loosing their valuables in a fire ... ;-) Kafrifelle (Yves P.)

Excellent job Kerry. I'm glad no one was seriously hurt and that you got out ok. The "shiny heat" of #2 & #3 is something I honestly think I've never seen on film - such incredible saturation. Amazing ...Stew W
