I met Ray while out taking pictures to add to a patriotic gallery I have online. Ray had asked the local newspaper to do a story on him because December 31st, 2001 (the next day) was the 31st anniversary of his being wounded in Vietnam, but no one from the paper ever came for him to tell his story to. When I explained why I was taking pictures of his flag in the window of his mobile home, he asked if I wanted to see his vietnam memorabilia, and was proud to pose for me. Ray is also a Native American Indian. He told me he was going to wear his jacket out on New Years Eve to celebrate.
