Tonight Wanda and I took the grandsons up the canyon. I went looking for birds that might be interesting to photograph. I struck out on the birds. The boys found some caterpillars to play with. The 300f/2.8L IS makes getting a candid pretty easy.

Hope they dont come out in a rash! they seem so captivated by the caterpillars I'm not sure they noticed you

Steve, I was using my monopod along with the IS. Between the two with a shutter speed of 1/320 sec. getting a sharp photo with the 300mm f/2.8L IS was a snap.

Wonderful shot of wonder...........tripod or handheld? Faces are so sharp. If you handheld this, I am a believer in IS.

Great candid shot ot the boys Bill... lways a memory finding and playing with the first caterpillars of the season... Nice seperation from the backround...
