Vasek Polak License Plate Frame

Here is the 'rarest' of them all! https://pbase.com/image/57662432 as it is the 'earliest' license plate for when Vasek was in Manhattan Beach. I'll try to fix https://pbase.com/image/57662434 this plate and see what happens.

I also have the "BMW" license plate frame as well as the "Porsche" frame with the Hermosa Beach location (NONE of these license plate frames are for sale).

My comment may not be informative but I wanted share a memory. I was born in 1962. My grandfather bought a 356 for my uncle in 1960 from Vasek Polak. My uncles used to call him Vasek and he tried to fix up my uncle once with a girl. Later he bought a 911 from Vasek when they arrived. He still has it. My other uncle updated his 911 every few years when a young man. I used to remember seeing the Vasek Polak license plate frames in the garage. I remember the red and black backgrounds. I remember the Manhatten Beach frame but I am only old enough to remember visiting the Hermosa Beach location. My uncles were early customers of Vasek, so they got to test drive the new models. I remember riding in a 914 when they came out.

I have an early manhattan frame with a black background. I just had it chromed. Anyone know what color black I should use to restore it.

I sure would appreciate it, I bought a 62 Su90 sun roof coupe in 1966. The original owner said that he purchased the car in in one of the beach citys south of LA. I have a black lettered Vasek Polak frame from thr Manhatten Beach location and would love to display it on the car if it would be correct in doing so.

Did you ever hear of Vasek Polak operating a dealership in Redondo Beach? I've seen seeral Redondo Beach frames lately. Bogus or ? Thanks... Mike Wilson Lomita, Ca '63 B coupe that has been in the South Bay it's entire life and was probably originally purchased at Vasek Polak. Hermosa Beach.
