by the OQMG on August 3rd, 1944.
The background colors of blue and red represent the
distinguishing colors of the Infantry division flag.
The cross represents the Roman numeral "X" (for "10")
and with the seven lobes of the patch indicate the unit's
number (10 + 7 = 17).
