The 14th Infantry Division insignia was approved
by the OQMG on August 7, 1944.

The blue background is for the Infantry, and the cross
represents the Roman numeral "X" (for "10") and with the
four sides of the patch represents the unit's numerical
designation (10 + 4 = 14).
