San Diego Sea World

I took my Swedish relatives to Sea World today. Tons of fun and lots of great shots.

I once saw a killer whale in an aquarum in Oxford Street (London's main shopping street) when I was a little girl. At the time it seemed fab but since I've realised it was not a good place for a killer whale to be. These are magnificent creatures and highly intelligent so I believe they wouldn't do this if they didn't want to. It's a really excellent photo of a superb creature with a woman who clearly trusts the whale completely. Nice!

I thought it looked like a cigarette too, and was thinking that perhaps the smoking ban culture had gone a bit too far if people were forced to go to these extremes just to light up ;-)

The "cigarette" is a whistle she uses to communicate with the Orca.
