The “Bay of Islands” is near the Northern most tip of New Zealand and is a prominent resort area. It is said to feature excellent sailing and “clear waters raging in hue from turquoise to deep blue.” Unfortunately, on the day we were there it featured a low overcast sky and very chilly temperatures. Oh, well. We took tender into the port and walked around the cove the Sun Princess was anchored in. We soon headed back to the ship for some photography of a mostly empty ship.
