Most years, especially in the fall and winter, birds will wander from their usual location of habitat
and for some unknown reason end up far from where we normally see them. Over the past few years I have been fortunate
to be able to photograph a few of these vagrants and thought it would be neat to put them together in a gallery for easier viewing.
I was not the person responsible for finding all of these birds, only the ones so noted in the text.
Reports from local birding hot lines provided me with information as to where to locate the others.
Sadly, some of these visitors come from locales where the weather is more friendlier than our winters here in PA,
and will perish before spring arrives should they decide to stick it out.
