Just an idea, but it would be very appropriate and authentic to include a Byzantine icon of the Nativity or St. Nicholas (Dec.6) on the brass table, and perhaps an incense burner, prayer rope, or some other cultural or religious artifact that would reflect the Christian emphasis of Christmas in both SYria and Lebanon. The Advent fast is a very significant part of Syrian and Lebanese households- in both Antiochian Orthodox and Maronite Catholic homes, and the holiday is celebrated with much socializing, including the serving of special Christmas and Ephiphany sweets. I commend you on all your photos, but I think the Christian side of Syrian and Lebanese culture is very much overlooked in general. Thanks for listening, and your thoughts on my suggestion are appreciated.
