The helicopter bucket is actually attached, but below the ridge line. The fire is 6 miles NW of Saddleback, and started at the bottom of Slate Creek near the St. Louis bridge.

Update: As of 7 A.M., Thursday morning, the fire is thought to approximately 65% contained, with total containment estimated at 1800 hrs this evening, July 16th.
Current size estimate is thought to be 180 to 200 acres.
