On our final day in Zion :( we went down Pine Creek Canyon. Other than the Subway Pine Creek is Zion's most well know technical canyon, and has been documented in such publications as National Geographic. Pine Creek is a half day outing that requires about a half dozen rappels to get down safely. Pine Creek is extremely cold, I was borderline hypothermic even with a wetsuit. There is a very famous rappel in Pine Creek called the Cathedral which you will see in our pictures. Based on pure aesthetics I would rate Pine Creek as the most beautiful canyon in Zion.
