It was a slot canyon and hoodoo weekend when we spent three days based out of Kodachrome Basin State Park in southern Utah. We revisited some favorite spots, ventured into some new ones, and Norah survived snakes and quick mud in Bull Valley Gorge. We didn't have a strict plan, just a list of hikes that were priorities and we added in hikes when we had some extra free time. This was our final itinerary:

Day 0: Arrive Kodachrome Basin State Park, campsite in Bryce View Campground for three nights

Day 1: Early morning run for Steve on the Panorama Trail in Kodachrome, hiked Willis Creek and Bull Valley Gorge off Skutumpah Road, hiked Angel's Palace in Kodachrome, late afternoon stroll on the rim and viewpoints at Bryce Canyon

Day 2: Hiked the Figure 8 Loop in Bryce Canyon, hiked the Red Canyon loop in Dixie National Forest, rode out to Grosvenor Arch, late afternoon pictures in Kodachrome, sunset walk on the Nature Trail

Day 3: Met some cats at Best Friends Animal Society in Kanab, Buckskin Gulch hike, drive home
