Turkey is a fascinating country definitely worth exploring.
During the few days of my visit I had the pleasure of staying in one of its largest cities, Istanbul.
Interestingly, the city of Istanbul straddles two continents: Asia and Europe, divided by the Bosporus Strait.
Unfortunately, I did not take a camera on this 1972 trip.
All the images from Istanbul and vicinity are now only memories. As a second choice for retaining these memories,
I have created this small “souvenir” gallery with a few images, which were acquired from Getty Images.
