Yusupov Palace

Located on the bank of the Moika River, it is originally called the Moika Palace when it was built in 1776. In 1830, it was acquired by the powerful and wealthy Yusupov family. Besides being the most opulence residence, its fame is due to its last owner, Prince Felix Yurupov, who participated in a conspiracy to murder the notorious holy-man Rasputin in its basement.
