Spoonen's nap

It was six o'clock by the time we set up the tent, packed our summit day-packs, and ate dinner, so we just set the alarm for 2:30 AM, and turned in. You can see that Santosh is getting a head start on the short night's rest. Spoonen napping is a pretty common sight in the mountains.

Amazing how you'll look for ways to rest anywhere, on the mountain! I found myself cat-napping whenever I got the chance, even if it was for a few minutes at a time!

We took a ten minute rest stop on the ridge at about 13,000. I caught Santosh fast asleep scrunched into this break in a rock, snoring away. He looked mighty uncomfortable, but he managed to catch a nap.
