Welcome to my Restorations Projects Page. Show below is a small sampling of the work I have done over the last few years. You will see the Inglis MKI Bren gun and the work done on it, a Bren MK2 buttstock, a walnut M14 stock, a M14 Birch stock, a torch cut Royal Typewriter Browning BAR 1918A2, a Marlin Rockwell/Rock Island Armoury retrofit 1919A4, an Inglis MK2 Bren Gun, a FN L1A1 a Browning .50 M2HB and a MKIm Inglis Bren Gun that I am currently working on.
A Bren MK1 buttstock has been added and was completed in the spring of 2005. It began with the traditional method with paint thinner and boiled lindseed oil. I used a small amount of dark oil stain as well do to darken the wood to hide the dings so excessive sanding can be avoided to preserve cartouches.
The Inglis MK2 Bren Gun as you can see someone had drilled a hole into the reciever for some reason and that is first on my list of things to fix. The gun retains its original dark green parkerised finish and was unsure whether or not to mess with it. But those holes once welded over were an eye sore. I planned on having a friend fix the holes with a TIG welder then grinding them flush with a dremel (no coffee that day for sure) Then parking.
I added a MKII carry handle and a refinished MKII buttstock that I had laying around. I plan on doing a full restoration of the original walnut buttstock that came with the gun when I get time.
The MKII Bren is complete. Have a look let me know what you think.
Now Currently restoring the the Browning M2HB .50 and the MKIm Bren.
Update!!
The MKIm is complete have a look and tell me what you think
