Well I got myself a new toy and its going to need work.
This is a MKII Inglis Bren Gun as you can see there is 2 small drill holes into the nice dark green park job unfortunetly.
I will need to repair them and decide whether to refinish the whole gun after grinding down the welds or leave it as is afterwards.
I am tending to think that I might dremel off the weld marks once done then bead blast the whole gun and park or dark blue like the BAR 1918A2.
This way the scrapes and dings will be gone as will the weld marks I,m going to have.
So far as you can see, the holes have been fixed, the welds grounds off and the gun sandblasted.
Well good news my MKII BREN IS DONE!!!!!
The holes are patched, the cuts and slices repaired and the gun has been reparked to the exact look of when it left the factory.
Have a look at the before and after pics that are coming soon.
The parking was done by none other than the best in the bussiness NICK KAIKKONEN who can be reached at supair@sympatico.ca.
Also you will notice the mint condition pistol grip, carry handle and stock now on the gun. Big thanks to Kevin G. for his prompt assistance to my little project here.
More pics coming as I upload them stay tooned.
