GALLERY:: Guanajuato and San Miguel de Allende ::2005
In October and November of 2005 my wife, some friends and I returned to central Mexico to revisit San Miguel and see Guanajuato. We planned the trip to be there for the Day of the Dead preparations and celebration.
The Gallery image - the distorted view of San Miguel - was chosen specifically because I wanted to show that I am aware that my view of the culture has to be distorted because I am not of the culture. As always, I hope that I have shown, through my images, the respect I feel for the people we visited.
There will be two more galleries here from this trip: one will focus just on Day of the Dead and the other on the Virgin of Guadalupe.
Loved the San Miguel and Guanajuato pictures. You have really captured the feel of the towns and the culture.

As usual, I am in awe of your eye. I have to admit I'd never had any desire to visit Mexico until I started seeing it through your camera lens. Thank you, Tim!

Hey Tim! This is a really good gallery. Having been to both San Miguel and Guanajuato, your pics discovered things I never saw. As usual, you have a super eye. Where was I when those genes were passed on? Terrific. Your Bro, Flip
