I am drawn to the legend of the Virgin of Guadalupe because it tells the story of a peasant who sees the miracle of the Virgin. She tells him to tell the Bishop to build a church in her honor and the Bishop dismisses the peasant. Several more miracles happen and the Bishop is persuaded to build the church. I resonate with the fact of the weak speaking to the powerful and ultimately winning.

This gallery is divided into three sections - although the last two could really intermingle. The sections are: For Sale - the many ways one can buy images of the Virgin, Honored - the places representations of the Virgin are honored, and finally, Worship - images of places where the Virgin is a part of a church.
