Why, I often ask myself, do I continue to make images. I find myself thinking of that again as I worked on this gallery. The answer to that question is, of course, varied and changing depending on where I am, and who I am with. I know that part of it is the fellowship of friends I have developed in the going out to create images. In this case my friends from Malaysia were visiting and invited me along on a part of their trip. So back to Death Valley I went. But, as I was selecting the images for this gallery, I realized, again that at the core of my image making is a love of the beauty of the world and a wish to share that beauty. So this gallery may contain too many flowers, backlit leaves, or patterns in the Valley. But they are here as beauty to be shared. I hope you enjoy them.

Can we ever have too many visits with loved ones? Or images of backlit flowers, leaves and patterns? I think not!
I always enjoy the priviledge of getting to share your special vision of the world, and always thirst for more.

You have presented a wonderfully atypical perspective of one of my favorite places. Your images portray the delicate dance of life and death is this awesome valley. It shows that even in the harshest of environments, beauty does exist and presents us with a beacon of hope.

Well said, Carol -- you took the words right out of my mouth, which is no small accomplishment. With each image, Tim not only tells us how he feels about what he saw here in Death Valley last year -- he is taking us with him to share his joy of natural beauty. How can there be "too many" of something if each and every example expresses beauty worthy of sharing with others?

I don't really think there is any such thing as too many flowers, too many backlit leafs, too many wildlife images, too many cloud images. Before I even look at your gallery here, I can see that every single thumbnail image is unique.... and made in a unique way by you according to where, when, with whom, and how you felt at each and every moment. There is no such thing as two identical moments in time, although the images may possibly look similar to some in past trips. I can appreciate your work because you shoot from your soul. So, bring on the flowers, bring on the clouds, bring on the backlit leaves. They are all unique because of you, the photographer. I, for one, commend you for your work and style to express a moment in time.
