Lake Tahoe, on the boarder between Nevada and California, is one of my favorite places. These images were made during an overnight stay. Most of them were made at Fallen Leaf Lake and Echo Lake, two small lakes near the large lake. I posted a gallery of images of a sunset. ( https://pbase.com/mityam/ggsunset ) and in some ways this gallery is similar. The first 20 images were all made at Glen Alpine Falls at the end of Fallen Leaf Lake. Just as the sunset images explored the many facets of the beauty of a the earth turning away from the sun, the first section of images in this gallery explore both the interaction of late light and the power of water and the many things to see in a small section of a beautiful place. |
