GALLERY:: From a Workshop :: February 2010

George DeWolfe and Lydia Goetze lead a workshop they call Contemplative Landscapes ( http://www.georgedewolfe.com/contemplativeland.html ). These eighteen images were made while I attended their February 2010 workshop in Lone Pine, CA and Death Valley National Park. I found the workshop to be both inspiring and extremely informative. I was surprised by how many black and white images this latest outing produced. I hope you enjoy these grayscale images. Sometime in the future there will also be a gallery of color images from this same trip.

The gallery seems to echo the very name of the workshop itself. They are contemplative images, rich in metaphor and abstraction. We have shot together here on two occasions, but I am seeing an entirely different vision, largely because of your choice of black and white imagery.
