This trip was actually not a "birding" trip, but an anniversary getaway for my wife and I. However, I did bird hard for 3.5 days while we were there (she loves laying out so didnt' miss me much). I had previously been to Maui, but Kauai was a real treat. I birded all of the recommended locations, largely from Pratt's guide to Hawaii, most of them more than once. I had a total of 55 species on the island, with 33 of them lifers. As with my other galleries, these aren't photos that a real photographer would be proud of, but generally good representations of the various species, which is what I'm after, (and if I get a good shot along the way, so be it :') Many of the shots were digiscoped with a Pentax PF-80ED.
