Dead Horse Point State Park: eastern views

This series of photos was taken from the east side of the main overlook. From left to right the views move from north to east to south. There are two close-ups among the pano shots. The blue ponds in some pictures are evaporation ponds of Intrepid Potash, a company that harvests potash from an underground salt dome. The blue coloring is a dye that promotes evaporation.

I took these pictures at mid-day, when the lighting is not as attractive as it is in the morning or late afternoon (better shadows). A PBase search for the name of the park will yield galleries containing photos taken at other times of the day. My intent was to document the terrain, both in general and with close-ups. Artistic concerns were secondary.
