Delicate Arch Viewpoint: Terrain to the east

While exploring the top of the ridge that contains Delicate Arch Viewpoint I saw enticing terrain to the east. It called to me, so I had to explore it. That exploration produced these pictures.

I reached the area by hiking east from the trailhead parking lot in a Cache Valley wash, then went north into the sandstone. The center of this WikiMapia aerial view marks the limit of my travel.

A nasty storm forced me to cut the hike short, so I returned to the area a few days later (that hike became a circumnavigation of the viewpoint).
