Rain man

Near Delicate Arch Viewpoint (Arches National Park)

The bad weather caught up with me as I reached a smll stream basin at the base of a small cliff.
This seemed to be as good a place as any to wait out the storm. The rain started to come down,
so I donned my rain gear and parked my butt on my sit pad until the rain abated. As I sat on my
sit pad this is the view I had. Nature put on a nice show: rain, lightning, and thunder. Sadly,
I had to isolate myself from Joe Tripod (my assistant), as he was the largest metal thing with
me and I didn't want his electrical properties to attract a lightning bolt to me. He understood.

When the worst of the storm had passed over (and the lightning had stopped)
I hiked back to the parking lot of the Delicate Arch Viewpoint trail.

A few days later I sat in this very spot under a sunny sky: http://www.pbase.com/image/83953752 .

My water will be Florida-ted next month if all goes well. Thanks for asking.

I read a book call the "Yellow River" I think it was written by I.P. Freely

Steve, I am shocked and appalled that you would think so lowly of me. I always "do it standing up" and never get my rain pants---or any pants (if I am wearing any)---wet during the act.

Nice story, Dave, but it looks like to me you just finished taking a big leak. Maybe you should tone down on your water intake?

Although he is not a capacitor, Joe is proud of his electrical capacity. He also has nerves of steel. You need not feel sorry for him, but thank you for being concerned. Has your water component been filtered, distilled, and fluoridated?

Joe was ok with that flimsy explanation? His head screwed on right?
Sorry. Nice photo, Dave. I love rain. As you know I am part water.

I always suspected that Joe exuded electricity wherever he went.
