After a few months of planning we started our family tour of Angola on 19 June 2010.
We travelled in a Land Cruizer 76 Series. It was fitted with a roofrack for 60 liters of extra diesel, 50 liters of extra water, our tents and other camping equipment. Inside we packed provisions for most of the 2 week journey, a big cooler box for frozen food, gas and stove, clothing and bedding.
Our trip would take us from Luanda southwards through the country up to Menongue, then west to the coast and into the northern part of the Namib desert. From here we covered the coastline back to Luanda - a total of 3500 km.
This gallery will give you a photo tour with us and Iīm filling in more detail as I go along. You therefore can just keep on skipping to the next photo to follow the route. It will take me a while to edit and post all the photos.
We had a great time and hope you will enjoy it as well.
