Outside the town of Menongue one can find this old fort that dates back from the Portuguese colonial era. You need to know where it is because it is so covered in grass that you will not just spot it. It was used as an artilary station during the civil war. Out side there were two bombed tanks also overgrown by trees and grass. We didnīt get closer to these because we were not sure if the area had mines.
