Mt. Palay-palay's Black-naped Monarchs

Here's a family of Black-naped Monarchs from Mt. Palay-palay (Cavite province), captured today - a stormy July 11th. After some months of familiarizing myself with the 500 f4 IS ( and forcing myself to use it almost exclusively), I'm back to shooting my favorite birding glass (the Sigmonster) to complement the Canon prime..;-)

Excellent captures Romy. The nestlings must be so much bigger now - I'm still hoping and praying that they all survived the typhoon. Your Philippine woodpecker photos are so sharp !!! I should really learn how to capture those birds without the blur on the head ;-D Do you think they will listen to me if I tell them to strike a pose - LOL !!!!!! Yeah right ;-Þ
