Nice photos Philippines have beautiful kinds of birds that's why I always want to travel in some provinces just to explore and see some birds not familiar to me.

sir, just for your info po, sa thumbnail ng long tailed shrike po ang nkalagay ay ung pic nung bee eater, pag inopen dun lng po lumalabas pic talaga nung long tailed shrike..computer error lng cguro..just concerned baka kasi may malito..thanks..god bless

For a month now, I've been fascinated by the mayas that would swoop down on food morsels at our backyard. Every morning then, I made it a point to scatter morsels for them to feed on. But for a week now I noticed a different kind of bird: the body is like that of a maya, but with longer open fan-like tail with dots/patches of white underneath. It was a pair that I first saw. They always fly together. But this morning, only one returned, emulating the mayas, swooping on food morsels at the ground. I don't know what bird it is and I promised myself I'd look it up in the internet... and found your website.

Just in our garden I could usually catch a glimpse of olive backed sunbirds and chestnut munias. I also see these black birds with white underwings. (Sigh) I wish I could take pictures as beautifully as you could

Try visiting Sibulan, Davao City where a lot of birds can be seen specially in the morning. I honestly want to capture them in film myself but my camera is not equipped to capture them as beautifully as you can.

I work in a call center so I dont really see much of the outside world. Then a really disturbing high chirp of a bird from a nearby window prompted me to get off my seat and investigate. Then i saw a truly amazing uncommon bird near the window sill in our skyrise office. I quickly drew it and its description and searched for what it is on the net... turns out I saw a coleto bird. Black with red stripes and red mark on its eyes. I came upon your site and I never knew there were so many beautiful species in the philippines! Thank you for educating me! The world needs people like you to see God's work and to remind us the beauty of this world. Keep it up!
