Our drought-ridden early fall has taken a toll on our backyard birds.
This male Bluebird had been taking drinks from our full rain gauge
in the spring and early summer but in recent months was a less frequent visitor.
We were pleased to see him again but his face seems to show
disappointment at the lack of water in his favorite watering hole.
