We had originally made plans to stay in their biggest & best cabin, #1, which besides being the largest is also the closest to the pool, it's RIGHT THERE, thus the kids could easily go to the pool all they want with us that close-by plus the cabin's WiFi would work better as we'd be closer to their main entrance. My wife's job somewhat last minute compelled her to change her vacation dates & we ended up having to "settle" for cabin #27, which is further away and smaller, although it also had a full stove which no other cabins have, that helped, plus as it turns out the kids did fine going to-from the pool on their own anyway. KSG also was this close to being able to go as well and he'd been in #34 close-by, but he was unable to go.

Notable places of the past we didn't go to--Lost Valley (we saw TONS of vans heading that way & someone said they were all going to Lost Valley & thus it was packed, and the water was said to be low), Pruitt (although I went myself early one morning), Alum Cove (where I do "the bear" with the kids), Grinder's Ferry (well we went but left immediately it was BUSY) and I didn't shoot "the barn" on ARK 74 as I always do (though I did shoot other barns I saw), we also never made it to Sam's Throne or the nearby Mt Judea Cafe. We also didn't make to "Buffalo Point" which we've never been to but had a hankering to visit. While we were at Falling Water Waterfalls & Pedestal Peak which we'd also visited in 2013 was nearby and we even saw it, we didn't bother with it either. Simply enough, there are too many spots to get to them all, and you will quickly become exhausted trying to do so. You have to simply enjoy what you ARE able to visit and not make it a race or competition or a "to do" list (are you listening honey?).
